thanks guys. y'all have pretty much answered anything i was wanting to know about. im pretty sure im going to go with #3-#1 or #3-#2 ohlins. i'd like to get the #6's but their too expensive. only thing now is to talk to howard and figure out the details. havent seen where anyone has had them reworked but i guess your supposed to have them redone every 20k-30k miles. not sure how much that will be

which are #6's, but emulsion style and 3.7 stroke, valve adjustable.

Howard's #2 are emulsion style (oil and gas inside mix together), #3 are separated (a diaphragm between the oil and gas), #6 are also separated, but with remote reservoir. I suspect the damping components inside are also different, so that each model provides a better riding experience over the others, with #6 being the best.
