What the different between #3-#1/2 compare the #6's?

Ask Howard about the #3-2.5's,

which are #6's, but emulsion style and 3.7 stroke, valve adjustable.

#6's have an external reservoir and are $900 more than the #3's

If you are a HDF member and can provide your screen name and have it verified, the difference is $483. As of 2.1.15 Ohlins is charging another 5% price increase for all Harley shocks ordered on or after that date.

Howard's #2 are emulsion style (oil and gas inside mix together), #3 are separated (a diaphragm between the oil and gas), #6 are also separated, but with remote reservoir. I suspect the damping components inside are also different, so that each model provides a better riding experience over the others, with #6 being the best.

I love Ohlins, but I love Race Tech even more. Really nice shocks and front end kits. They will custom make them for you. Made in the USA. Less $$ than Ohlins.
