Major oil leak
We returned from a ride over the weekend, stopped in the driveway so my S.O. could dismount only to find a large puddle of oil under the bike. Upon investigation we saw oil squirting out of the front of the filter case. What happened was the clutch cable somehow worked it's way between the front of the filter case and the rectifier and apparently was pounding because of vibration against the filter and cracked it. I did a oil/filter change and zip tied the cable to the right down tube away from the filter, no more leak.

It did leak about 1/2 qt while ridding, I think most of it was on the back of the bike and my wife with splatters all over the leather saddlebags but black shoe polish took care of the the bags (not my wife).

I would never think to check that as I purchased it with the beach bars installed and I had no problems for 10 years.
