Passenger grab rail on Corbin
Long Version: My wife of 22 years has decided she would like to start riding with me. I finally got her into the sidecar on my Ural last year and she found that she loved parts of it. She loved HIGHWAY travel! WHAT? Being out on the open road, with the engine strumming along was comforting to her. The speed didn't affect her at all. Around town she was spooked with the acceleration, noises, and close traffic. Those of you that know Urals, know they are not designed for extended highway use...that is what my Road King is for... distance/superslab. I'm excited and a little spooked that she wants to come with me after years of riding solo. I've spent many years on a bike with no passenger seat since I prefer the look and I didn't need/want anyone riding with me. Now I need to learn to ride with a passenger and then she needs to learn to ride as a passenger. I have a friend who has offered to ride pillion to help me learn what it feels like to have an experienced passenger on the back. I hope she and her husband will do a "wife swap" so both the noobs can learn 2-up riding.
I do have a tour pac that will go on as a backrest for her when she is with me. But, knowing my wife, she would like something solid to hold onto and these seem like a decent answer.
Any help appreciated. Thanks.
