Thank you for posting that. I swear I think sometimes all they care about is getting their post count up. Dunno why anyone would wanna do that--a high post count shows that you have no life!
Honestly. If all some people can say to help a guy out is "You should do a search", or give some totally unrelated History lesson... yeah maybe you've been on the forum too long. Maybe take a little break? People forget what these forums are all about. It ain't "You should do a search". I mean why even bother posting that?

Best post I have seen in years... really - it takes as long for people to type "Search this or Search that" than it does to just give a guy the answer.
Cant stand people like this at work, never want to give you an answer.

I've been following this forum for about 10 years now and active for almost as much. I've seen the same folks answering the same questions in repetitive cycles for the same amount of time.
Most of the time there is not even a response from the original poster as to what he is trying or what fixed the problem.
Burn out, entitlement, what ever you want to call it, some of the guys just recommend doing a search because they have pages of systematic troubleshooting aid or charts such as the diag codes and how to pull them that can be found in a search.
In the next month or so there will be "how do I get my bike off the jack stand" questions, oil threads and all the others that go around each year when some folks park their sleds for the winter and tear em down.
the poster of this one has yet to respond.
the guys already been told to check the integrity of the push button, thats what I was getting at with the question I asked him early in the post, then he was told to check the integrity of the wiring after the switch and then told of a possible problem with the speed sensor.
Now really, if you knew this was all laid out in previous post and a search could have shown this with the press of 1 button?????
just asking, if you turn the ignition off and the engine cut off to off and wait, then turn the ignition switch back on does it always come back with this?
yes it does thanks
still searching and trying other folks suggestions

Wow! Thanks to all the civil responses and links from previous asked and answered on this topic.
To the one cowboy here, I'll be sure and "Google" and search and then search some more and then introduce myself and then I'll spiff up my signature block stating how important I am next time before I ask a question or for some help here again....
