Wards Fans wind up like little turbines and sound like mini hair dyers.
I parked at a local restaurant, got off the bike and was putting the gloves/half helmet in the saddlebag when a guy stepped out of the billco basement doors and looked at my bike and asked "is that thing running? I know they build 'em different these days but damn!" I replied no that's just the AC, it'll shut off in a minute.
Twin turbo's - super coolers - after burners - any more????
SC
They are not noticeable. They look great. I have the chrome set on my 124 and I got a set in black for my dad bike with a 124 also.
He originally planned to take them off after summer was over but liked them so much he leaves them on year around. I have mine on year around. They are not very loud and get a lot of attention when stopped after cool down.
I would buy them again if needed and recommend them highly.
Happy with mine but haven't run them in hot weather yet. Real nice for the cool weather rides with the warmth on the right leg. Noise is not noticeable while riding but not too bad during the cooling off period after the bike is off.
I have been running mine for over 2 1/2 yrs. I have been all over the US with them, in the extreme heat of Texas and the frigid cold of Montana. Been through a few nasty rain storms and some hail. The fans still run fine. They are not noticeable when the engine is running but like others have said, they sound like a mini hair dryer when the engine is off. They work as advertised and my EITMS has never kicked in with the fans on. Customer service is excellent.
Here's the web site to order. They work great. I used mine while riding from Washington State to Milwaukee for the 110th HD anniversary. Went through North Dakota in triple digit temperatures, and bike never overheated. Also Jason the owner is a forum member and is extremely honest and helpful if you have a question.
