It's just an 86 Bagger with a 80" evo and a 5 speed. I wouldn't get to wrapped around the whole anniversery deal.

86's are good, but the gas tank is the older design, the radio if it exists will need to be upgraded along with the speakers. And depending on the way it was maintained it will need some work. Look at the base gaskets and the rockerbox gaskets for leaks. Check the belt, the tires, the forks and the shocks for leaks or wear.

Parts support from an HD dealer will be limited, and service at a dealer will be minimal, i don't know if either of those things will matter to you.

If 7500 is all you have at the moment and you really like the bike, then it "might" be a good deal for you. "If" it is really what you want and the bike runs flawlessly.

For just a few grand more, you can get a much newer Glide from the mid to late 90's. If it was me, I'd just save some more and pick up a newer one.

If not, I'd definitly work the price down into the 5's.

I think that's a pretty good deal if it is in as good shape as it looks in the photo. Evo's turned out to be a real solid motor although not much power in stock form. That's a real early EVO, they came out in 84, and the early ones were prone to base gasket leaks and breather gears breakin. I would however save a little longer and go for maybe an early twin-cam. I've seen 99-01 E glide standards and basic Road-Kings for as low as $9500 around here(south of Boston). Good luck...

And don't rule out police models. They come in road king and eg form for the touring line. They can have miles, but most I have seen are actually very low miles. And you can't beat the price. IMHO, they are usually a great buy. When you get a harley you will start to make the bike your own, so starting with, what some may call, a basic model, you wont feel as bad buying new parts to replace the stock on those bikes. Plus, from what I have read, the seats are the most comfy stock seats harley makes. If I had it to do over again, I would buy a low milage police bike, and customize the heck out of it, with the money I saved.
