Default friend needs help

new member pugsley here,i have a buddy who layed his bike down last tuesday cause a cage pulled out in front of him, broken shoulder blade, bruised ribs, abrasions,it looks like he'll be fine, just going to take some time. The question i'm having is he is not very mechaniclly inclined ( i do most of his work on his bike) ,the bike has pretty extensive damage to the right side it doesn't look like he hit the car at all,(he can't remember),bent crash bar, busted nacelle, all lights on the front , dent in tank, front fender wasted, grond down saddle bag, bars bent, bent floor boards. The bike has a harley custom paint set(purple flames).my best guess with replacing the paint set and all other parts is in the range of $6000.00 to $7000.00.the reason i'm asking this is because the dumbass didn't have his insurance activated (first ride of the year).is there somewhere i can towe the bike to get the neck and frame surveyed?

As far as surveying damage your best bet will probably be an HD dealer.

Don't know the laws in your state but if the other guy caused the accident then shouldn't HIS insurance be picking up the damage?

You better raise that estimate. I had less damage than that after I layed down my scoot and it was $5500.
