Default what kinda #'s can be expected from a 103"

I am having the dealer install my 103" stage II kit and was just courious what kind of real world HP and Torque numbers that I should expect. I am running the SE Street Performance Touring mufflers as well with the stock headers.

If I were to do 103 kit I would go with aftermarket cam and have your heads ported...125/125 is not out of line at all. I don't think you will do that well with Harley cams.

I agree w/Jeep.

You really shoudl consider aftermarket cams & heads.

The HD package "should" be in the 100/100 range.... maybe a little more, maybe a little less....

Yep if it were me I would stop the dealer on any mods and take that 103 right to the aftermarket. You will get much more bang for the buck there. One suggestion would be to go to a proven leader in the industry for engine mods. Far too many timesshops throw parts together not fully understanding their required coordinated efforts. I would suggest Zippers and a few others, the good ones will get ya more than one hp per cubic inch.

Well,..all considered,.... I will be happy if I get both sides in the 100 range. I'm just looking for a good running street and hwy machine that will still have the reliability of stock, plus wont affect my warranty since the bike is less than a week old.

thanks,
John

I'll throw out 92/101. Personally I would go the aftermarket route as well. I think you would get more bang for the buck. The sticking point for you sounds like it could be your warranty. Did you get it in writing that the 103 kit they are installing will not kill your warranty? I think there is some dealer descretion when it comes to matters like this. Don't assume just because they are putting HD parts on the bike the will honor the warranty no questions asked. There is that little "For Off-road use only" label some dealers will hide behind when an issue comes up. Good luck.

Excellent point.

I also have been looking into doing a motor build on my new RKCustom. I have an excellent relationship with my dealer and he'll warranty the 103 at his dealership...because I'm a repeat customer and regular in his shop. However, if I do cams...that goes out the window. And he has warned me...even w/o cams, the 103 build may not be warrantied by other dealerships, if I have a breakdown out of town.

I have an '07 Strret Glide on the way. I will have the 103" installed with cams and V&H ovals before I take it home. My dealer said if I did the install with bike purchase it would have the full 2 year warranty. I took a 103" on a test drive, it was pretty sweet. I'm coming from an '04 95" RKC. The SG feels great. Good luck with the new ride.
