Default Fork shocks

There are a lot of threads about shocks and ohlins sems to be the best for the rear, but when it come to front shocks everybody sems to go with progressive. I have a 2015 RGS and my rear shocks are better than the air one that I had on my 2011 but I found them pretty stiff and when I can afford them I will put the ohlins ones.
Anyway I'd like to chromed my forks and I'm not sure if I should upgrade my front shocks too. As I said it seems everybody are upgrading with the progressive, but on the 2015's is it worth the front shocks upgrade? And which brand is the best. Progressive I believe are only a few hundred dollar, how much are the Ohlins? What I'm looking is a improvement of comfort and overall performance of the bike as handling, and dumping. I do like aggressive riding on twisting roads.

I wanted Progressive's monotube front fork cartridge for my 15 RGS, but when I contacted them about it they told me it probably won't be out until sometime in Feb for the Rushmores (larger 49mm forks), but to keep checking their website. I had their dual cartridge set up on my 11 SG and it made a world of difference in handling. Not wanting to keep waiting for the Progressives, I ordered the HD premium ride set up which is a monotube (single) cartridge as well. Should be installed next week, along with other parts/accessories.

But yes, it's a great upgrade and you'll appreciate the handling on mountain roads/twisties. I know I did when I rode out west last September when I took the SG on a 3 week 6500 mile solo trip from Michigan. (I stopped in Salt Lake City and sat on the new RG, so I knew I had to have one when I got back).

Thanks I'm not in hurry though, let me know how you will like the HD premium compare the progressive.

Default Fork changeover to Ohlins cartridges.

I, not Ohlins, makes Ohlins 30mm cartridges that have spring pre-load on both sides, compression on one side & rebound on the right side adjustable (to eliminate hysteresis). The dictionary defines: The term "hysteresis" is derived from ὑστέρησις, an ancient Greek word meaning "deficiency" or "lagging behind".

These are available on Sport bikes and I can assure you that the 49mm or inverted fork solution is the absolute best in the known world. This cartridge will not work in the 39mm or 41mm as the ID is too small.

I have many customers who are running my cartridge system in 2014~current FLT & 2006~current Dynas. These models utilize the same forks & triple trees.

I just received my first set of production triple trees to check fitment that will convert all 1986~2013 (batwing, RoadGlide, & RoadKings) to use the 49mm fork tubes & sliders.

I have a prototype that was put on HDF member's TJ316 2011 RoadGlide for more than a year now for testing. As with everything I do, there is nothing bettter in the world available for these models, nothing.

Howard I will be calling you. I'm not ready to do that yet but I don't mind to talk to you so I can budget my "investment".
Thanks
