Congrats, you're gonna LOVE it!

Although I think riding season being a month away is a little optimistic.
I would love to be wrong on that point, however!!!!!!!

Unfortunately you are probably correct on when the riding season will start, but it never hurts to be optimistic!

Traded my Heritage in on a new '14 limited the day after Christmas - only been able to ride three times, so not many miles, but I love it so far, and you will love yours too.

Can anyone speak to the changes to the suspension? I realize it was lowered. Was there any improvements made or was the travel in the forks and shocks changed? Does it ride any better?
Wasn't the handle bars replaced as well?

The bike is equipped with the HD premium front and rear suspension lowered 1", derby and primary cases have been redone to reduce the width of the bike at the bottom and handle bars have been set 2" closer to the rider. I am 5-6" with a 29" inseam and can sit flat footed on the bike. The premium suspension components provide the smooth ride the Ultra has been known for.

"A seat height of 25.6 inches allows more riders to place both feet flat on the ground when the motorcycle is stopped, and a new low-profile seat reduces the reach to the foot controls. Premium lowered front and rear suspension lowers the bike’s center of gravity and makes it easier to lift the motorcycle off its jiffy stand, yet delivers outstanding comfort and handling.
The overall width of the primary drive housing and derby cover are reduced to further improve leg clearance to the ground.
A pull-back handlebar places hand controls two inches closer to the rider, putting many riders in a more comfortable position that can reduce back and shoulder strain.
Smaller-diameter hand grips reduce the finger reach to the brake and clutch levers.
Assist and Slip (A&S) hydraulic clutch reduces lever effort 23 percent, a key benefit in stop- and-go traffic.
A new passenger footboard mount allows the footboards to be folded up so they are out of the way when pushing the motorcycle in a garage or driveway.
A new toe tab extension reduces the reach required to retract the jiffy stand."

Add the new lower seat which not only lowers the rider but also moves them forward and the bike is a great fit for those of us who love to ride the touring models but also want the added confidence of being able to place the feet firmly on tera firma.

There is a seat option that I may have to exercise after spending some time in the saddle and that is possibly sitting a bit further back, other than that she's a beauty.

Hey, Hardrider. What seat option do you have in mind?

The bike comes stock with the "Super Reduced Seat" I am thinking the Standard Reduced would fit me better, when sitting on the bike with the super reduced seat it feels cramped, but I won't really know this until I have some miles under my belt. The difference between the (2) seats is the SRS pushes you 2" inches forward the standard only pushes you 1" forward, at least this is what I had discussed with the parts counter. Spring will tell the difference, the dealer has a bunch of trial seats if I need to experiment.
