What speed do most of you cruise at in 6th gear? Most of us Road King owners don't have a tach. so I'm curious of the coralation between speed and rpm's.
I have the Road King Custom with a PIII, K&n filter and V&H basic slip-on's and I use 6th gear at 65 MPH.
I don't think about 6th gear until 72-75mph. I like 6th for Interstate Hwy doing 75-80 mph. Even then to get 3000 rpm I'm going about 84-85. I used to try to run 3000 to 3200 on my 1996 but with the 07 2800 to 3000 rpm. Hope that's not going to clog it up.
