Sorry last time I started a different thread hardly anybody responded. The guy above stated he put 12.5 on but had to change cables. Thought I could ask for clarification. I apologize no offense just a girl trying to learn 😒
I am the guy above that had to change cables and brake lines. If your bike already has 12.5's you shouldn't need to change anything IMHO. Why are you changing the bars? Have you tried to loosen your top clamp and just roll your current bars back toward you more. If you're looking for more pull back (bring the bars closer) that would be a good place to start. Costs nothing and may resolve your problem. Unless you're changing from chrome to black or something. I found your previous thread. You may want to indicate in the thread title a little more detail about what you're asking. I for one would have skipped over it. FWIW.
I dared the cold and measured my bars. They are exactly as the Wild Ones website shows. I didn't measure when I installed them. I sat where I felt comfortable and synched the bolts down.
From the bottom of the bar in the clamp they measure 12.5 to the top of the bend. That puts the bend about 1.5 inches above the flat part of the inner fairing behind the windshield. My pullback is about 12.5 where their site says 11. They look really good to me. I have a biased opinion though.
Almost forgot. They're over 20" above seat height too.
My wo578s go right to the top of the fairing. I had to put on the next longer clutch cable. They measure exactly 10 inches so thats 2 inches over stock
i had brs custom bars that were exactly 12 inches on my dyna they were perfect. im leaning towards the 578s but keep going back and forth doesnt look like you can pull them back too far to bring them down. plus im getting my stock seat reworked and i have this cycle pedic seat. each seat sits you about an inch or so different . so theres that lol. i was just out there sitting on my bike trying to decide after i cleared the foot of snow off the driveway lol. man buelligan if it ever gets warm id LOVE to see a pic of you sitting on your bike. thanks
