RE: Got'er done!!!
Dude you were way ahead of alot of people when you just purchased the Harley.
we don't see many stock units to appreciate, i like the bike very much.
i like the studed back rest, and love the white walls.
i am up the road about 175 miles from you i hope we get the 80's here.
most importantly the bike is YOURS
Good decision on buying a police model. if I had it to do over again, I would probally go that route (don't tell my bike). It is a great starting point to make her your own, and I bet you picked it up at a great price. Nice finished product...Oh who am I kidding...we are never truley finished with our bikes. Always something else to add.
Good job, thus far. Enjoy the summer riding. Keep the shiny side up and watch out for the idiots.
Man I really appreciate all the positives...Thanks guys (and gal!)!!!
The seat is a Sundowner Touring seat with a little mod from Mean City Cylces. It came with the bike when I bought it, so that was a nice little gimme from Harley. I got them to throw the backrests in with the deal.
The headlamp and passing lamp visors are the standard plain Harley type. I'll get a photo as soon as my wife gets back from Nebraska with the camera.
Yes, it certainly was a "blank canvass" when I got it. I told my wife that, but apparently she thought I was kidding. Now she knows better!
