Anybody ever order a tinted windshield from 1tail.com? They are pretty reasonably priced but Id like to know if they are scratch magnets or not. Harley makes theirs from Lexan (whatever that is) and they are fine, but I was thinking of a colored tint. Any experience with 1tail.comwindshieldswould be appreciated.
No but I have used other windshields\windscreen from the aftermarket world with not so great results... Like the ol' saying Ya Get What Ya Pay For - & I have paid for it the the past (LOL)
Most people go with a Clearview... They seem to be the most popular & people that have or presently using them RAVE about them - but they're $$$$$ -
But I think it will be the next shield I buy\try...
I bought mine on ebay from a seller named Fastaireone, I believe they are a company. Theres are made of lexan I believe, and cost about $20.00-$27.00 + shipping. There a good windshield in my opinion, I have had no problems with it.
To look at one go to ebay motors, motorcycle parts, type fastaireone in search bar and it will take you to it, or try this link, www.fastaire.com Good luck!
I just purchased one from Fastaire, a 9" Smoked Grey, it is polycarbonate material, but it did not say "Lexan" on the protective cover material. It came as a flat sheet of material, is flexible, but put stress on my fairing due to not not being formed to match the curve. Can't say if it is durable, only had it a couple of days and no Bugs yet! The price was definitely a bargain at 38.00 delivered. Figure at that price I can replacement it several times and still not pay moco price!
Time will tell.
