Ok so maybe someone can help....I'm ordering apes and gonna have a friend of mine do the install....he works on custom cars etc, I know he's done choppers etc.....he works on everything...I'm not concerned in his ability at all.....
He's really a friend of my bosses.....anyway I have to bring him all the stuff so he can install it...my problem is I don't know exactly what I need...lol...this is what I got so far:
2) cables obviously...I've heard carlini makes kits but I didn't see anything on their site and have no idea how much they cost...gonna have to call em in the morning...I don't need stainless cables....was just gonna extend them
3) bushing...I know I need a polyurethane bushing to replace mine but what size?...where do I buy one?
4)electrical extensions....now do I need electrical extensions for the controls....I know harley makes a set, I think they're like 40 bucks but I'm not sure if that's what I want....
My bike is a 2012 road king police....just wanna do this right the first time and not mess anything up too bad...lol....thanks for any advice....ryan
As far as cables check out Magnum Shielding Cables, built in their shop in NY, very high quality. They have Braided Chromite, Braided Stainless and Braided Black Pearl. About any wire extensions will work fine. The cables in the pic are the Chromite.
The burly kit includes everything I guess , it seems expensive though....I was just gonna get black standard cables, not the stainless but I didn't see anything like that

I have Carlini on my RK and absolutely love them. i have the Gangster Apes. I purchased a braided cable kit with LA Choppers. Perfect fit. If i remember the cable kit costed more than they Apes.
