Would you put mink oil on your seat ?
little bastard of a long eared Nauga. By the way how hides of a Naugas dose it take to
make a seat cover ? ? Just asking.
Of course mink oil, spilled on the wrong finger, may create doubt in the old lady's thinking about where you have actually been versus where you say you have been.
Mink oil will demagnetize the magnetic strip on your credit cards and will block certain incoming calls from your cell phone.
Mink oil can be absorbed through casual contact, and if absorbed, can create involuntary random thoughts and actions, many of which can lead to a criminal record. YMMV.
Not sure I would use it, but hey, if you have nothing to do...then go for it.

Mink oil is made from mink fat and originates from China, though there are mink farms around the world. The fat that is made into this oil is stored just beneath the skin. Removed from pelts destined for the fur industry, the fat is rendered into mink oil.
Mink oil is a source of palmitoleic acid, which possesses physical properties similar to human sebum. Because of this, mink oil is used in several medical and cosmetic products. Mink oil is also used for treating/conditioning and preserving nearly all kinds of leather.
Neatsfoot oil is a yellow oil rendered and purified from the shin bones and feet (but not the hooves..guess that's important?) of cattle. "Neat" in the oil's name comes from an old English word for cattle. Neatsfoot oil is used as a conditioning, softening and preservative agent for leather. In the 18th century, it was also used medicinally as a topical application for dry scaly skin conditions.
So to keep your leather and your dry scaly butt soft, just use neatsfoot oil.
