The bike that you are looking at today and want to think about tonight, is the same bike someone else looked at yesterday and is on there way here to buy it today.
Toyrider,
You are right, that is why I bought the base Ultra and then went hog wild, making it mine and still have less in it than the CVO.
My Ultra now will outrun any stock CVO, handle just as good, is more comfortable, and I wont park next to anothe bike with the same paint. They are overated IMO, but one point made is correct, a CVO will probably resale higher due to the upfront cost, but when I put a bike together it is for me, and the resale is still higher.
I have a friend who looked at the bike on Saturday, it is at Mancuso in Houston. That dealer is well known for BS, price gouging, and lying out their ****. They sell everything for as much as they customer will pay over MSRP, and it is usually $2000+. There motto is "I don't care about repeat business, I only need to puck everyone once". After I slapped the chit out of him we went down to Republic andbought a Classic for MSRP.
Last time I was in there I needed a set of SE exhaust gaskets and that store is on my way home from work. The MSRP on the pair of gaskets is $7.95, Mancuso price $10.50 The only time I purchase anything there is if I can not get it somewhere else. It pains me to go in there the two or three times a year I have to.
There is no such animal as a 07 CVO VROD! They were only produced in 05 and 06! And Another point on the CVO's is that they are Limited production Models Hand Built By a 2 Man team.
They might make 50 thousand 07 Ultras, But will only make around 1400 Red 07 CVO Ultras!!!
And My 05 VRSCSE, They only made 800 Red ones!
