I bought the lighted windshield trim for my 14 TG and it won't work , after the second one from my dealer I decider to track down the problem and found the harness you put on the bike don't match the wiring on the light , I cut the plug off the light and matched it up to the wires on the bike side and all is well but I am assuming who ever made the light that there quality control is bad or the print is wrong , so if you get one of these lights don't go nuts if it don't work , mine did not light at all

Does this lighted trim require drilling holes in the fairing like the custom dynamics one does.

 

not really , you just have to enlarge the right hole for the windshield screw to run the plug through it , the instructions say to use a 9/16 ths bit and kind of try to keep it low , but I am going to use a rat tail file to slot the hole just enough to get the pug and wires through
