I need to change my front rotors on my 2012 street glide. Looking at stock rotors for $150 each. Is there any better rotors for the same amount of money or cheaper? What rotors is everybody using?
Not that I've found. And the stock rotors suck, not worth it if they were $50. Any decent looking floating rotor is going to set you back at least $249, most often more.
I think still have a few of the Galfer fully floating wave rotors in stock. I will have to check tomorrow. I am selling them at $225 per rotor retail is $350 each. PM me and i will check when I get back to work in the morning. Galfer makes rotors for race bikes so they know a thing or two about rotors getting hot and warping. I have sold quite a few sets of these and it has been many months and not one complaint yet.
Here they are on one of our wheels.

And on a stock Air strike wheel.
If I did not have a fancy chrome wheel I'd run these on my bike as I am hard on front brakes.
I bought 3 different bikes that already had Harley floaters on them and they were all warped when I bought the bikes. Mileage on them was unknown but my opinion is that the made in China Harley floaters are garbage,. Yes, they are less expensive but that was my experience 3 times in a row.
These were also all on Dyna's which are a much lighter motorcycle with a different brake caliper that does not generate nearly as much heat.

I recently bought EBC floating rotors and pads for both wheels. I've had no problems with Harley floaters, which are reasonable value and come with new screws.
