.... I also love the cruise control. Out here in Arizona it can be used quite a bit and I do.
Congratulations I think you'll like it. Gotta agree cruise control is wonderful. Cruise was an option in 09, at least it was on my 09 FLHT, hopefully your Road King has it. I it doesn't it's not a big deal to add it on a 09.
Did the same thing as you last October. Went from an 09 Heritage to a 14 RK. Loved my Heritage. This new road king is a night and day difference. You will be very happy. Oh and by the way, Congrats.

Okay, pulled the trigger today. Selling the Heritage Classic and buying a (new to me) '09 Road King Classic. Trying to upload a picture, but not sure it is working. It is still sitting in Wichita, KS. I plan to take the bus out there the next warm spell in the weather and drive it home. Can't wait!
Like you, I also made the switch from a Heritage Softail to the RK; it seems to be the natural progression of things. I thought my Heritage would be the last bike I'd own, that was until I rode the RK. The only similarity is the removable windshield and bags; from there is no comparison...for me anyway. Good luck and enjoy the ride!
Congratulations on the new bike. I've put about 200000 miles on Road Kings. They really are the most versatile bike that HD makes. The lean angle compared to Heritage is unreal. The amount of accessories that fit the RK's is unbelievable. Enjoy the ride when you pick it up. Snowing here again. Probably get my first ride in about 8 weeks.
You guys make it hard to wait. I want to go get it and bring it home! I look forward to experiencing the difference between the two, because I love bombing around town and here in the mountains of Colorado on the Heritage. And if the RK is as much of an improvement as advertised, I can hardly wait.
