Default Street Glide rims
I have a 07 Electra Glide Classic. There is a guy in my area who has a set of take offs from a 2012 Street Glide. Would like to know if these rims would be a direct fit for my 07 Electra Glide.

you can make the front fit with some parts, but the rear will not fit.

The rear on the 2012 rims has the rubber isolator so it will not work.

Your stock rear is 3" wide, the late model wheel is 3.5". It won't fit without major surgery

The 2012 rear wheel actually has a 5" or 5.5" wide rim - in fact the stock tyre is wider than a stock 2007 fender! The hub is also much wider, so you are right, only major surgery will get it in. I believe we only have one or two members who have done a retrofit of that wheel.

Front will work with new bearings and stuff, rear will not fit as it is too wide for the fender plus the cush drive setup.
