Wow. I'd seen these before and really liked the look. Thought they'd look awesome on the Street Bob. But damn - $1,500 to do the AC, cam, clutch, and derby? And almost another grand to do the rocker box and trans covers? That's a lot of scratch for stuff that doesn't make ya go any faster.
Wierd... My 2012 (103) has the clarity derby cover with AIM vpc - no issues. No spacers needed. Rowle -uk
I actually want positive of mine needed it or not. AIM suggested the spacer when using aftermarket derby covers. Mine isn't stock but it is an HD cover but it's definitely made different on the inside of the cover.
Sweet. Good deal. What's the spacing? I was a little concerned a spacer would put the derby cover into the passenger boards. I was actually wondering if the Clarity cover would bump into it, but it didn't. My boards are about a 1/4 inch from the stock derby cover when folded up.
EDIT, reading that product reviews, looks like it's a 3/16 spacer
I was installing the Clarity and one of the ribs hit the weights that were hanging... I could have folded them up to install, but once they get spinning, it'd be a parts blender in there...
Also, thanks for the pic. I have a Barnett Lock out, which must stick out further than yours.
