Hey, Ultrasteve, those painted parts look interesting. Hope you are going to post pics when done? Oughta look good. Been thinking of something similar on my glide.
I dmit it, I'm a fair weather rider....Trailering to my sisters in Orlando then taking off. Hit Bike week, See an Old Army Buddy, Then down to the Keys, back up the gulf side then load up and head home.
Did that same ride this last fall for Biketober Fest..........stayed in Key West for Fantasy Fest Week, now that's a bucket list item. Beautiful area have fun!
Hitting the road at 5 P.M. on the 6th for a two week vacation in Daytona this will be the farthest trip on the bike yet (wife is flying) and the first time to Daytona Bike Week! I can't wait!
I have lived in the Daytona Beach Fl area since 1987 been to every bike week since then. We should set up a place to meet up and put a face to the names on the forum. Also if any one breaks down I have truck and trailers to help out also have a bike lift to do repairs if needed. I live near the Cabbage Patch Bar. Ride safe and enjoy.

Leaving from the Arctic Tundra of South Dakota on the 6th. 2 bikes in a trailer. Just got 3-4" of snow here today. Can't wait. 1600 miles to get there.
Luckily I live here so the cold isn't much of an issue although I get to tease my daughter all the time who is off at college up in Appalachian State in Boone NC, she keeps texting me pics of all the snow and cold they are getting so I send her pics of the sun and the beach. She is counting down the days til she comes down here.
Unfortunately I get to miss most of Bike week this year as we are doing a family Disney vacation for my two girls the 11th through the 16th in Orlando but at least I'll have the first weekend.
You guys riding down ride safe and we'll see you around town.
My wife and I are headed down on the 6th. Spend 2 or 3 days in Daytona then head further South. Been cold here, looking forward to that beautiful Florida sunshine
and spending time with our son. Getting my inner fairing swapped out for a painted one, looking forward to that upgrade. Ride safe everyone and be defensive, especially on the I-95 speedway. We will be taking the back roads as we always do, great way to see this beautiful country we live in.
