As a long time member, I just wanted to say hello and ask a quick question with a little bragging about my new Street Glide. Today I brought home my 2015 Street Glide Special totally stock. I noticed the rpms seem to be a little high at idle.
I have broken in over 5 bikes and know that the bike settles in and changes happen, but my rpms are holding around 2,000 at full stop, in neutral. I can press the throttle forward and the bike will settle to 1000-1400 rpms (sounding much closer to my other Harleys at idle).
Any advice? Bike started with 4 miles on it. I am up to 85 and wonder if the problem will self-correct as the bike breaks in or should it be a quick adjustment? This might be an easy one for some of you, but I haven't dealt with this one yet. Thanks for your time and good advice.
There is some kind of procedure to reset the idle/neutral position on the TBW. I think it can get messed up if the bike isn't shut down with the throttle all the way rolled off.
