Some folks claim they used the OEM cables with the WO 578's.

I know for sure the WO 577's need extended cables and hydraulic lines.

I recently got the WO 575 on my Ultra,I'm very satisfied and I retained my fairing mirrors.Depending on the year of your bike one/all of the cables (+4)must be changed.

Does WO578 bars utilize existing cables? Thanks

Yes on my 13 CVO Ultra and yes on 15 FLHTK (both have Hydraulic brakes and clutch). You have to cut the black tie wrap on the riser and move the hydraulic lines around a little bit. Also, on the 15 FLHTK had to add the electrical extender wire kit which costs about $25.

NOTE: The hydraulic lines will be tight going thru the fairing on some models and lines may rub. If you're concerned about it get longer cables. On my 13 CVO they rubbed the inner fairing but didn't bother me. On the 15 FLHTK was able to tie then off so they don't rub..

Call Wild1 Chubby directly and they will answer any questions you may have. Great customer service.

WO578's will use the stock TBW but you will need NAMZ extensions for the handlebar controls. I used 8" for mine because I wanted the extra length.

Just installed the WO578's on my 2013 SG. Stock Brake Line, +4 Clutch Cable, and had to extend handlebar switch wiring (+8 on wiring should be plenty). You will definitely need mirrors as bars sit right below top of fairing.

On a 2013 12.5" are more like a 14" of other brands. Very comfortable on long rides, it's like having power steering. I had 12" HD mini-apes and they kept your hands just below wind coming off the fairing. The 12.5's put your hands in the wind.

Let me get this right, the 575's are taller and wider than stock, but closer to the rider?

I have my stock bars pushed ahead all the way, maybe 1/4 from touching inner fairing where they are closest to the inner fairing. This in an attempt to make them sorta higher as I'm 6'2".

Not overly crazy about the thought that the 575's are closer to me?

Is this a situation where I should skip the 575's in favor of 578's?

Sorry for the thread hijack, your help is appreciated!

If you go to their website, they have a picture showing the placement of all their bars. Look under bagger bars.

Thanks, I saw that, but if the width is there, would it make a difference? Would be nice if they had a shot looking down! LOL
