ok all I found a place to host it for free. It is a pdf so file size is only 600k. There might be some typo's as I was in a rush to do it for HarleyRulz.
I'll re-read it today and check for typo's.
One thing that I did not cover is on the 2006 and probably 2007. The adjuster for the throttle stop is a special tool for harley. I could not find a tool for it so I had to drill out the screw and tap it for a 5/16-24 set screw 3/4" long. I actually ordered them from McMaster.com since I could not find a local place for them. I will update the file to reflect this.
The downfalls of being an engineer....... I write a lot of reports and unfortunately I have not re-read this one so don't be surprised to see another update.
Also Congratz to HarleyRulz for completing the DTT install.... Just got off the phone with him and he is giddy like a little school girl.
A lot of thanks has to go to PhilM as he was on the phone walking me through some unsurespots (reason for the guide).
You know PhilM said it to me the other day..... What goes around comes around when working on bikes and helping others..........
I have the DTT sitting on the workbench, was going to wait to install it when the Blackholes arrive, but I think I may tackle it tomorrow. I have the PCIII in place and have a hell of a flat spot at about 3500 rpm, have to actually roll back off the throttle to continue acceleration. Thanks for the information, anything at all is helpful when you are treading into uncharted waters (read: never done this before-but gonna give it a go!)
I am curious in John's (Spike) instructions he talks about the Idle screw, having to drill out to get to it. He notes installing the 5/16-24x3/4" set screw. Is this just to plug the hole above the set screw once the adjustments are made? If I need this, i can get one from the local harware. I do have the tap, but he also refers to an I-drill. I dont know what an I-drill is.
