Hello dear friends, I actually have a 01 road king and a friend of mine gave me last month the outer fairing of shovelhead but I want to put it the inner fairng. I found here, in Spain, a guy who sells an electra inner fairing valid for 97-07 models and I want to know if someone put this 2 parts in common and if its fit perfectly, making some new holes or something similar.
Could someone help me?? kind regards and best wishes to all!
the shovelhead fairing will not work with that inner fairing in your picture; that came later. The inner fairing in your picture requires an outer fairing from the same series...1997-2013 I believe.
Thanks dear friend, could you tell me if exist a inner fairing for my outer fairing? shovelhead or something similar??? If not, how I can know if my outer fairing could fit on a latest inner fairing??? kind regards!!
I have 2 doubts, first, if I decide to fix both parts (outer shovel and inner 97-03 models) to fit more or less perfectly, I have to buy this brackets??
The ebay link you posted won't work on the Shovel fairing. You will need ones like I posted in the diagram link. You will also need to find a way to attach them to the fairing, your fairing doesn't look like it has mounting points anywhere.
craigffb posted a pic of a shovel style fairing in his reply.
