Some people remove the plug and solder / insulate the wires. I replaced my twist grip sensor with this one: http://www.harley-davidson.com/store/twist-grip-sensor

Cut it out. Cut one at a time and it's corresponding color on the other side of the plug, solder and heat shrink. Then I usually heat shrink the entire harness.

2010 Limited with some stuff!!

..or stagger the control wires so you don't have such a big ball. I grabbed 3-4 wires at a time and taped them about 1" or apart on the pull wire (in the pic you can see 3 bundles of elec tape. Not until i did that did it get past that green connector. Good luck.

PS I don't know what the hell is happening with the picture that it wont upload.

I can send via email if your interested in seeing it.

For $100, do the CVO throttle. I did and it made life a lot easier. And you've got no connections to worry about internally. FYI if you're putting it on a 14-up you'll need to change the plug over. What bars?

I just did this, as SBates 08 recommended to me ( thanks for the input SBates08 ) cut and solder with heat shrink. I used double wall adhesive line tube and then heat shrink over the bundle. Works great and saved over $100. The colors on my wires were not the same on each plug end so I simply marked each wires position and soldered accordingly.

I'm sure you already know, but taking pictures as you go and drawing a good diagram of wire location in the plugs is worth the time and saves going back in. Good luck with your project.
