Hey was wondering i just installed a harley oil cooler on a 2011 street glide was wondering the instructions said let bike warm up and oil cooler should be warm to the touch.Well install went fine its a little cool it is about 34 degrees any ways started the bike up oil pressure came up to 32 no leaks and let the bike warm up for about 10 -15 mins oil cooler wasnt warm is that because it cool outside? Thanks in advance

Takes quite a while for oil temp to rise even under load. Quite normal. Ambient temperature will also affect duration. If you have oil pressure and no leaks take bike for a ride. Takes upward of 1/2 hour on road to start showing temp rise in oil even when ambient temp is 70. Not recommended to let engine idle for great length of without air passing over cylinders etc. remember these are air cooled engines.

Even in the summertime on initial start up, 10-15 minutes of hard riding wont get the oil hot enough to open the thermostat, so 15 minutes of idle at 34F ambient is not nearly long enough to get the oil hot enough to open the 185F thermostat.

As others have stated, you are fine! Now relax, take that puppy for a nice ride and smile at your work. No leaks and pressure is good. Congrats.
