Picked up a set of HD rubber heated grips this month. And I have a set of 14s I picked up from HD. Just looking into things further and I saw at the bottom of the Handlebar page it says
"NOTE: HANDLEBARS LISTED WILL NOT ACCEPT H-D OEM HEATED GRIPS"
Does this mean Im 100% S.O.L.? Not sure what OEM stands for.
OEM is Original Equipment Manufacturer. Ive read on here that some bars had to have the inner hole drilled out and also read on here that apes require longer wires ran for heated grips, hence why it might say it wont fit OEM heated grips. Someone else will be able to help out more im sure.
The bars all state to be drilled for internal wiring. The grips state that the are not suitable for use with internally wired bars.
Might that be the reason??
