Trying to find out if there is a Passanger Wrap Around Backrest that will fit onto the Custom Leather Touring Luggage (53018-04A). The Custom Leather Touring Luggage comes with a flat passanger backrest, dealer says it can't be done, wrap arounds are too wide for Custom Luggage.
not sure, but you do know that you can download the parts catalog off of the MoCo's website right? nice thing about it is that you can search that part number find out really quick. I know there is a picture of one on page 425, but it is the premium leather tour-pak luggage, not the custom
What the dealers say are not the gospal. I bought passing lamp turn signals to mount under my passing lamps, moving them from my handlebars. Part was for a softail, and it works and looks like it is suppose to be there.
I was looking to do the same thing as you with my FLHRS. The only reason I haven't bought the tourpack was because the wife wants the wrap around back pad. I wonder if someone has one out there for sale? Maybe if you can find someone who does custom leather they can make it so it would mount. I would be very curious to know. keep us posted. There are a lot of fabricators on this site. Maybe one will take on this task. Also, just occured to me. The new cvo's have a leather tour pack that the backrest wraps around...Maybe that would work?
