Rain suits
Hood, you can put it on then slip the helmet over, keeps the rain coming off the helmet down your neck.
2 piece, versatile, after it rains I keep the pants on so the wet road splash is on the suit.
Breathable, PVC is not breathable, frogg Toggs for me didn't work, breathable but they seemed to blow up like a balloon and melt real easy.
High visibility, and reflective on it. When it is raining it is much harder to see.
Heat guards on the legs.
Heavy duty zipper, waterproof it can find it, but a double enclosure on the leg zippers and the jacket zippers.
When Looking I went to http://www.webbikeworld.com/site-sea...tm?q=Rainsuits and read their reviews.
Then I went to Motorcycle Superstore and looked at the ratings, and read customer reviews. Then I went to Revzilla and again searched by ratings and read the reveiws.
I finally bought one from Motorcycle Super Store for about $50.00, breathable, heat shields on the pant legs, packable (the heaver duty the more room they need)
I added rain gaiters (very good thing to have)
I went to Home Depot and went to the garden center and bought some rubber gloves used for cleaning etc with fabric inside. I bought the largest size and they fit over top of my summer leather gloves.
I then went to the hardware section and bought some wide hook and loop straps. I put these on around the rubber glove gautlets so water won't wont run down the glove and into my fingers and then down my sleeves.
I bought some anti fog clear safety glasses, when it rains the shield will fog up if it is raining and it gets hot (humid) so I crack my helmet and thus won't fog up but eyes are still protected.
I carry a small can of travel shaving foam. Rub the foam on the inside of the helmet lens then after it begins to skin over use a towel to buff it off, helps to keep the shield from fogging.
Electrical tape to go over the vents, my helmet has a top vent that leaks when closed.
Flashing light, I put on the back flashing red red to get attention.
3 walmart plastic bags, helps to slip the suit on over the boots, and the bags store the wet pieces after it stops raining until it can dry out.
2 piece, versatile, after it rains I keep the pants on so the wet road splash is on the suit. Ditto, allows either piece to be worn as wind breaker as well.
Breathable, PVC is not breathable, frogg Toggs for me didn't work, breathable but they seemed to blow up like a balloon and melt real easy. Here we differ, I prefer the PVC solid taped seams for day after day riding in rain. I live in Washington, not Florida, so I get it for those that live in warmer climates.
High visibility, and reflective on it. When it is raining it is much harder to see. Helmet matters more and I have a tour pack, still I wear hiviz color and reflective patches.
Heat guards on the legs. Even they will melt, but Frogg Toggs disappear. It is a good idea and helps a lot if you are careful.
Heavy duty zipper, waterproof it can find it, but a double enclosure on the leg zippers and the jacket zippers. Yup
When Looking I went to http://www.webbikeworld.com/site-sea...tm?q=Rainsuits and read their reviews. Nope
Then I went to Motorcycle Superstore and looked at the ratings, and read customer reviews. Then I went to Revzilla and again searched by ratings and read the reveiws. Nope, lots of good options, balance for me is against light weight and easy storage or quality and works all the time. I went quality for several seasons of use and they are medium bulky. I roll and wrap in two sided velcro into a very dense roll, still takes 1/3 of the saddlebag. Easy on as well.

I added rain gaiters (very good thing to have) Yup, but with my gear and waterproof boots I have not used them in a while.
I went to Home Depot and went to the garden center and bought some rubber gloves used for cleaning etc with fabric inside. I bought the largest size and they fit over top of my summer leather gloves. I bought my 'condoms' for my gloves at a commercial fishing store in Seattle. Textured, totally waterproof, fits over snugly my light leather gauntlets.
I then went to the hardware section and bought some wide hook and loop straps. I put these on around the rubber glove gautlets so water won't wont run down the glove and into my fingers and then down my sleeves. Two sided hook and loop, great stuff and I use it for many bike uses.

I carry a small can of travel shaving foam. Rub the foam on the inside of the helmet lens then after it begins to skin over use a towel to buff it off, helps to keep the shield from fogging. Edge works.
Electrical tape to go over the vents, my helmet has a top vent that leaks when closed. Well, I have not done this, but I have tape aboard. If I spend another two days riding in Yellowstone all day thunderstorms, I will do this. At least it kept the tourists all inside.
Flashing light, I put on the back flashing red red to get attention. I have a bike one. Works great. I have it incase I stop beside te road at night. Very bright and cheap. First one died as batteries corroded. Glad I bought two, change batteries every year now. Sticks on with a small velcro patch.
3 walmart plastic bags, helps to slip the suit on over the boots, and the bags store the wet pieces after it stops raining until it can dry out. The plastic shopping bags from your grocery store are like greased lightning, a trick used by commercial fishermen to don immersion suits in under 12 seconds for survival suit races. Makes a pair of boots slide into rain pants like a greased xxxx slides into...well you know the rest.
I have been caught in a few heavy rain storms as well as 3 days of straight rain and I have never had an issue with wet feet. My rain gear has elastic closures around the bottom of the legs which prevents water from going in the boot or up my leg.
When it is getting nasty out I do throw on a set of HD soft lowers for my aurthric knees which probably help quite a bit too.

That sounds like a great help. I always have to stand up every now and then to let the puddle drain from my lap. I always thought I needed a sump pump in my lap.
For hands we carry our heated gloves always because they are waterproof. sure beats a hair drier at the motel for hours drying gloves provided there even is one.
