I have lowers and a Cee Bailey 14" and have a little buffeting around 90 but easy to ride through it. Except for the little shake at ninety, no buffeting at all.
I use Freedom shields. The Lowers make a huge difference. Comparing an Ultra to a Road Glide with no lowers isn't a fair comparison. I have a 2015 CVO Road Glide. I can run 70 MPH and my 6in Goatee hangs there pretty as can be
It's been my magic set up for me! "LOWERS" and my 10" WindVest Screen.
Many shark owners swear by the "Madstad" screen. I'm all bout function, but that thing is butt ugly to "me". And my Magic set up works killer still looks pretty slick!
For the 2015 RG's, I have heard the Klockswerks are much better than previous 2013 and older models.
I tried 5 different shields and they had a great look to some of them but none can compare to the Madstad I ended up with as far as function. It, for sure is not a looker but I have lots of other pretty stuff to look at on my bike.
I couldn't use my external log in for some reasons. I'm going to get the dog dish tomorrow along with the clip on wind deflector kit. Those with a new shield and lowers and hopefully I'll be good to go.
12" Windvest and lowers makes for a nice ride with just a little air movement. No buffeting. It's the lowers that make the difference.
This is what i did to my 2011 RGC....Made all the difference in the world....Very little buffeting up to about 80 MPH
WindVest makes a great shield.
I even changed out to a 10" WindVest last summer
I have a 12" WindVest for sale if you are interested
