Looking to buy a used Ultra. Lots of bikes out there with a lot of miles. Just want opinions on how many miles is too many?
Thanks
One the one hand, a motorcycle with a lot of miles probably was well maintained enough to log those miles, while a bike with very low miles might have been neglected.
I have an '05 FLTRi with 181,xxx miles.... you couldn't pay me enough to part with it. BUT.... I've seen dozens of '04-05-06 FLTRis for sale at what I think is a steal.
Buying a used bike is a crap shoot, even with a service record.... was the bike abused? was it "ridden like it was stolen"?
If you find the bike you want, and you don't feel you have the skills to make an informed decision.... have it checked out by a trusted friend, or independent mechanic
