She's a keeper ...
We bought our first Harley Davidson in 2012, a used 2001 Road King. The previous owner had set it up for 2 up touring and my wife fell in love with the ride. Last October we discussed getting a second newer bike, perhaps a 2012 FLHTK. After some discussion we came to conclusion that she has zero interest in riding her own bike and a second bike would take up the already tight garage space. The solution? We traded the 2001 Road King for a 2015 FLHTK. I don't know who was more excited me or her. We've put almost 3,000 miles on Blue Bell, including 1,000 miles on a tour around the bottom half of FL in Feb.
So here it is April 1st and I haven't washed the bike since the FL trip. Something about extremely cold Feb and Mar here in VA took away the motivation.
My plans for tonight was to wash the bike, check the tire/shock pressures, fluids, etc. A good once over before the weekend. When I got home from work my wife had removed the saddle bags and cleaned them. Then she had cleaned/polished the rest of the bike. All I had to do was some small detail pieces!
Blue Bell looks as shiny as when she left the showroom!
Yep, they're both keepers!
