I try to take as many riding classes as I can to become a better rider. I learned a trick from an old veteran. I use old garden hose split down the middle then duct tape to secure it to the crash bars, then put double up duct tape on corners of the farings to protect them as well, makes dropping and learning a lot cheaper!

Thank you for that link, I've been looking for something just like that. Just ordered two sets.

Glad you apparently weren't hurt. Rolling 800 lbs of motorcycle over onto yourself like that can really do you a harm!

I really hope that wasn't an advanced course. I'm not saying I'm a pro, far from it, but that move looks like pretty basic stuff. I have never taken a rider course of any kind but I have been riding for 35+ years. Still learning too. Hope you and the bike are fine.

I think you were too worried about the cone you ran over and forgot to look forward at where you wanted the bike to go. Glad you're OK. Git back on and don't worry about the cones! They make lots of 'em.

People must really be going out to that site. Seems their server has crashed. I can't get to it.

Well, I got to it on my 5th try.

Thanks.

It was an advanced course. They are called MotoMark1, great course. Glad I could make y'all giggle a little. The bike is fine. Steel Wool removed the scratches from the engine guard and my powder coater said I could bring in the guards around the bags and he'd do them again for free cause my Exhaust didn't hold.

On the first go through they had little cones there and we all drove through and used the exit as an entrance and exit. On second go around they had changed them and it threw me for a loop just went blank. I'd rather it happen there then on the road. Now I know just keep going to the safe area.

Does anyone know if there are similar-type schools/courses in the SoCal area? I know forum member paniolo used to teach it via his RLAP-WC, but it seems he no longer does. Suggestions?

*edit: I just googled expertmotorcycletraining.com in riverside county. Has anyone here attended its classes?
