I just got off the phone with my painter and he is picking up the tins on Thursday morning! the bad news is he isn't a full time painter and is going on vacation at the end of the month. oh well more time for me to get the funds needed to pay the man!
I have a Bad Dad all in one competition fender and stretched bags on their way. Is there anything I need to be aware of during install? Has anyone had any issues with the wire tube? Should I mock up fender before paint? I am also curious on how well the Bagger nation exhaust extension kit works. Any input would be appreciated.
Streetglide54 I would mock it up for sure. You may need to make a few tweeks here or there but for the most part I am thrilled with the product and if I build another bagger will go back to them for sure!
Thanks Lucky for the advice. I received bags and fender yesterday. Very nice. After playing with it Looks like the stretched side covers will be ordered. That should give the back end a flow.
streetglide54 I thought about the side covers but decided against it. I kind of dig the look with the stretched bags and stock covers. Idk maybe its just me.
cull22420 I got the Summit replacement rear fender, it is a direct replacement all you have to do it swap out all the mounting hardware over to the new fender. I had to drill out a few holes a little bit extra but its pretty much ready to go replacement. I am not sure how to mount an overlay but I do know BadDad has an "instructions" section on their website or email their customer service as they have been more than helpful with any questions I had for them.
I was staying with the stock side covers but after putting a saddle bag on it looks like the stretched cover will make it flow a little more. I am going to have to call Bad Dad. The fender did not come with any hardware. I know it says use stock but I thought I would have to use a different lower bracket being the fender is stretched..
