When I bought my '14 Limited in Daytona Blue Pearl, I had a woman tell me that her and her husband looked at that color but decided on the Amber Whiskey/Vivid Black because they felt there would be too many Daytona Blue Pearl bikes out there. Granted, there are a lot of them but I see more of the Amber Whiskey/Vivid Black and they have continued that color for '15 and apparently '16 also. Before anybody says anything, I like that color combination so I'm not putting it down at all. I just thought it was funny what she said.
Perhaps buy the Ultra, and add the things that the limited has that are not included on the Ultra? Sell any take offs to recoup cost.
It seems this would be cost prohibitive. Go with the Whiskey/vivid black and have it painted as others are suggesting. Going that route you may think of small details that can be added to set yours apart from the masses.
I wish they'd stop selling Amber Whiskey. I bought it because it was different and now everybody loves it.
That's why it's still offered in so many models. Very popular and great color.
I am an orange freak when it comes to Harley's. My 14 is Amber whiskey and black which I like but not near as well as my 12. It had tequila sunrise on it and it was as good as it gets. I am going to paint the black on mine this winter so it will be Amber whiskey and ?. Just getting ideas for now but it will be a nock out when it's done.
By the limited and paint it the way you want.
