Auxiliary power port trouble
I purchased and installed a HD auxiliary power port and I'm having problems. It's frying the chargers. It's the one that connects to the tender pigtail. I've searched for an answer already but of all the posts I've found, none actually give an answer to what the problem is. The chargers work in my car until I plug them into the aux port, then they don't work at all. I've fried the only 2 cigarette lighter chargers I had and don't want to buy another just to fry it. Unfortunately the plugs I've tried do not have fuses in them. What is the problem? This should be a simple plug and play item.

Yes you said they work in your car where the polarity is correct. I bet your pigtail is wired backwards. You might want to check just one more time.

If the pigtail was wired backwards, would the battery tender work? It has for 3 years now. Not sure I know how to check the polarity. I've got a volt meter?
It fries the charger instantly. There isn't any fanfare, just doesn't work. Then it doesn't work anywhere.
