Default "Sync failed" error

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 paired to my 2014 FLHTK.
Lately after a couple of minutes of riding I get a "Sync failed" error coming up on my screen.
I presume this error is related to my phone...
Anyone else get this error know how to fix it?

Most probably failed to sync your text messages. If your phone has too many text messages stored or any that contain attachments (MMS format), then you'll get a sync error. Your contacts should only sync when requested via menu.

I have mms texts on mine and don;t get any errors. When I first got the bike, I did have a text message that was causing problems. I used the samsung app to back up my text messages. I then deleted them all. After that, I restored the ones important to me and since then, no issues.

To see if it is text messages, turn off the SMS option in the boom and connect everything up and see if you still get the message.

My experience sounds similar to yours, except I just figured it was MMS related,. Since I don't often text & don't save hardly any texts, I've never tried connecting with an MMS text stored, so your observations would be more comprehensive than mine. You've got me curious now. May have to do some experimenting...

Let us know what you find out. I have texts that have pictures and sound files as well as group messages. They don't load in to boom for you to view them but it does sync. What I haven't really tried and thought about is if boom will at least notify you that you have one of those text and will show them or at least play something back saying you have a file.... I just can't remember getting one of those texts while connected to boom.
