Finally blew out one of the front speakers on the ultra. anyone know of a GOOD replacement. I am not going to replace the radio or buy anotherHD speaker. it may just be me but I think HD speakers sound like trash.
orderd the HCUR-06 for my 06 and i was amazed at the difference. Bass and midrange are great at high speeds, i have heard they work great over 100 ( so iv'e heard). that's even with Thunderheader true duals. http://www.jmcorp.com
Are the hogtunes speakers being compared to the speakers in an '06 Ultra Classic (CVO, does that make a difference?) with the Harmon Kardon system? If so, do they sound better or are they just able to be louder? I might definitely be interested in them if they can give a better sound at high volume. I can turn my radio up high enough, but it doesn't sound that great at high volumes. Not distorted, just not too good cranked up. Kinda tinny at higher volumes.
Not trying to hijack this, but cant see much sense in starting a new thread for a similar question:
I have a RK with a tour pack it. Kid rides alot, and has asked if I could put speakers on the rear. Has anybody mounted rear speakers only? There has to be a way to power them with a small amp, and provide tunes thru an I-pod.
