I've got an OEM front tire with 5/32 tread depth after about 9,000 miles. Can't find info on what it was when new, but the American Elite comes with 6//32. Wearing only 1/32 in that many miles seems too good to be true. Can someone with a new bike tell me what the tread depth really is? Thanks

Front tire comes with 5 or 6 32 new, you should get 15 to 19 k on the front, probably 10 to 15 on rear

It is generally 2 rears to 1 front

 

Stock tire, I used to do 8-10K and this is solo rider and no aggressive riding. Twice that on the front.

 

Assuming that you have the D407/408, they had:

F - 5/32
R - 10/32
