I've got an 06 EG standard and I'm in the process of converting it to look like a SG. I went with the Kuryakyn electric throttle lock 6280 instead of the cruise control. I couldn't locate all the parts and what I did locate was ridiculous in price.
I cannot seem to find any information about that. Do you have a link?
I converted my 04 road king to a roadglide for less than 2 k net, and that included changing the main harness adding the inner connect harness and correct hand controls
You have to know exactly what you need to buy and you have to be willing to put the time in to sell your take off parts to keep cost down. In addition you have to do the work yourself.
Doing this conversion is NOT the time to add apes, or fix something just because you have the front end apart. To do so will confuse maintenance with an upgrade.
Last, access to a part catalogue will greatly enhance the process as many parts are interchangable between models and are NOT road glide specific.
For example OP, since you have a standard, you may not need to change the main harness, but simply add the inner connect.
As to cruise, if you want it, many modules are available on ebay or call a motorcycle specific salvage yard.
If you want to make this happen you can, just don't be discourged by those that have NEVER done it!
Don't know yet, haven't hooked it up yet, plan on doing it tomorrow. I haven't found anything bad about it online. It basically works like the throttle lock but turns off when you hit the button or brakes. Unfortunately it rained her for the past week and no signs of it stopping for another. I'll post up when I get the chance to test it out. Got mine from 2 guys cycle for a really good price.

Thanks for the info. I will see what I need for the cruise and see what I can track down. I really don't want to spend 700+ just on setting that up on top of the actual conversion its self
This is where I got mine, they show sold out now. Try searching them on Amazon or eBay. They come with ISO grips, but I changed mine to the new black contour grips. PIA but they look better than the isos. BTW, two cycle guys has some of the best prices I've seen on the web, just hard to find things. Look up the item number from the manufacturer then search that number to find the piece you're looking for
