Default RG conversion question

I am planning on starting a conversion from a eg standard to a RG. Now i currently do not have cruise control and I read parts for my year are hard to find
That being said when I buy the harness and all the other things needed for. RG will it be easier and possible to add cruise control?

Thanks guys

It would help us if you tell us what model year your EG is!

I toyed with this same idea for my Road King. Pretty expensive undertaking. I finally went ahead and just bought a Road Glide. No longer have it but sure is nice having more than one bike.

Seems like it will be a 2500-4000 $ job depending in pRts and install. Yes it's pricy lol

Ya can upgrade to a newer RG with cruise for that $2500-$4000. But if ya love yours the cruise modal and harness is no longer available from HD. Ya can find the modal used but the ya will need to either make a harness or maybe these guys can help http://www.harleycruisecontrol.com/.

Ok thanks. For some reason I thought with cruise being standard on RG I figured the cruise would go into the conversion with the harness and stuff. Well that's a **** off lol

I've got an 06 EG standard and I'm in the process of converting it to look like a SG. I went with the Kuryakyn electric throttle lock 6280 instead of the cruise control. I couldn't locate all the parts and what I did locate was ridiculous in price.
