Default Led light

I have been lookin into getting the LED tail lights for my '13 Street Glide. The sites I have checked say I need to get the load equalizer. This weekend I was told with the newer bikes this is not the case. This person has the new lights and called a tech for support, was told just to install the light and initially the four ways and it would sync.....
What says y'all?

i think its only the 2014+ models where LED lights are plug-n-play. earlier years, i think you need a equalizer for the turn signals

my understanding is the Rushmore bikes are plug and play, earlier bikes aren't.

Put HD LED front & rear t/signals and rear tail lamp and all three kits made no mention of a load equalizer on my 2013 RK.Been on for 2 yrs and no voltage problems.

I put the Custom Dynamics LEDs on my 2011 SG. They worked fine, but as soon as I used my turn signals the "red key" would light up and stay on. The lights still worked fine, but the "red key" would stay on until I shut the bike off and restarted. Use the turn signal and it would be back on.
Installed to load equalizer - no more problem.

Did a little more research and found The LED tail lamp is not load dependent.Turn signals are load dependent. If you install Led t/signals and they flash faster than before, you will need a load equalizer or a flasher unit that is non load dependent. The HD factory accessory T/signal LED's do not require a load equalizer unless the part description calls for one.My 2013 does not require one and my friends 2006 with factory LED t/signals does not require one.I think a lot of the aftermarket t/signal LED's call for one where as the factory accessory does not need one.
