I have a 2012 Ultra Limited w/abs. Thinking about replacing the stock 28 spoke wheel set with the newer style impeller wheels that come on the new Ultra's.
The brake rotors on my 2012 Ultra are fixed. I believe the impeller wheels require the use of floating rotors?
My understanding is I will need to purchase a set of floating rotors for the front (2), rear (1), and perhaps replace the old bearings? Anything else?
Trying to figure out what the approx. cost will be minus the wheels. Appreciate the help.
I don't see why your rear rotor won't swap over, as the hub fixing appears to be the same as your stock wheel. You will need suitable front rotors, which may be floating. Go to the H-D website and the Shop tab, where you can check the fitting instruction for Impeller wheels and see all the info you are likely to need. If buying new wheels I suggest buying the wheel fitting kits which come with bearings, spacers etc.
