Default Progressive monotubes....

After a couple of hiccups by the shop that installed the Prog. Monotubes in my '13 Road Glide Ultra and the conversion quite the eye opener. For one, maybe I should have gone with the one spacer not two, but it might be different with two up. The ride would be like a luxury car prior to the change over and after the install more of a tight sports car feel. Hit a couple of holes in the pavement here in MI and it took the hits much better. Front brake nose dives, I think the forks went down less then half the distance of standard, if that much. I can say an upgrade that really pays off.

I'm 5-10 180 lbs, solo rider almost exclusively, I did 1 clip, I love the results.

1UP VS 2UP isn't going to effect anything clip wise. After two clips I tore it down. Much happier with the 1 clip.

I actually did the progressive mono-tubes as well. But I went with their lower kit since I was also upgrading to a 21 inch wheel. I only installed 1 clip. Took her out a couple of days ago and I must say I am very pleased. The ride is great and the lower tubes along with 1 clip brought the bike to the perfect stance. From what I've read if you go 21 inch up front, it's very important to bring the riding geometry back to stock by lowering the front end. I think these mono-tubes accomplished that goal.

Another point that I really like about the monotubes is that the fork seals don't fail. I am a big guy and when I hit an ugly hole or lump in road wasn't long before my fork seals would leak? Since the Monotubes no leakage at all. And a more planted handling. I love the progressives monotubes.

I used 2 clips on my 2010 Ultra, and plus lowered it an inch, at first had the same reaction. Firmer, not harsh but not that pillow soft front end. Once you get a few miles on the bike with the Mono Tubes, you will not even notice the difference. They will feel natural and you just come to appreciate the planted feel.
As for the rear, running 944's love the way the bike feels, but needed the preload adjusted for the max. Me 210, wife 150, a little stuff in the bags, jackets, ect. not a ton of stuff. We have bottomed out on deep holes, and big bumps, not violent, but we knew it when it happened. Guess that's what happens when you loose an inch of shock travel. Plus the 2010 CVO Ultra has the big Tour Pack, thing must weigh 60 lbs, sure that doesn't help with all that weight behind the wife. We are running the heavy springs on the rear shocks so their is no changing them to help. Some have said they were to harsh, but not in my application.

I had the dealer install my monotubes (two spacers) and my shocks are Ohlins s36e. I am extremely happy with the results. I now have what I believe is how my bike should have rolled off the showroom floor.

Wished that I could share your love for these, I had them with the 2 clips but it was too hard, Supplier said try 1 clip, which is better but I don't have the weight of the fairing which helps a lot with these, only hope that they soften up a bit!

One clip seems to be the sweet spot for many riders, problem
is you have to rip them out to change it.
