Inner primary leak
As the title says I have an inner primary leak. I run gear oil in the trans and the oil that drips does not stink like gear oil so I know its not the trans seal or shifter seal. I pulled the primary off a few weeks ago to replace the seals. When I took it off the oil appeared to be coming from the lower bolt from the inner primary to the trans. After putting it all back together I still have a leak. I followed the service manual and used black RTV around the bolt holes, threads and heads of the bolts. I have now been reading about updates that say not to use the RTV between the mating surfaces. I was thinking about pulling the cover and clutch/chain/comp and just try more RTV on that one bolt head. I was also looking at the newer bolts that do away with the tabs and have a washer. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Not sure if this will help much but its worth a try. Used to do this on thermostat housings on v8's. Put the rtv on the bolt like you were around the mating surface. Snug it up and let it sit for the better part of a day to let the rtv set up. Then torque to spec. Hopefully that will work for ya.
