1. totally smooth throttle response, no surging, no decel popping (was at first, but smoothed out). waaaayyyy faster off the line with tons of power in all rpms. no flat spots, but right now feels like it is being held back from 85mph on.
2. accurate speedo. i always noticed that my speedo was 5mph faster than my gps readout, before the switchout. now both read exactly the same.
3. low fuel sensor magically works now.
pretty much feels like a different, better bike. it is now really how you would expect it to function from the factory. the thundermax is here to stay. i am really really happy with my purchase so far. if the top end smooths itself out, i will be pig in **** happy.
Good to hear, as mine won't begoing on for a week or two. I'll see how well it works then as it looks like i'll be doing a hi-po 107" kit withmy tuner. I'll keep ya posted.
Any fuel device , from the 189.00 fuelpak ,pcIII,sert will make a tremedous difference in any bike if tuned right. I want to hear from someone who went from a bike tuned right with one of those then went to Tmax. Thats the only way to tell if its any better and worth the added expence.
I had mine done by a a local mechanic with a dyno. He tweaked it himself (custom) for free since he was curious about the TMax. He said it wasn't far off of the stock TMax tune (not sure which one) so I'm sure it adjusted accordingly. It does get better after a few miles are logged on it.
I'm only guessing here but I don't beleive you have the Auto-Tune module. From my limited knowledge of the T-Max it appears mapping isn't needed as the Auto-Tune will take care of that. Than again I may have read it wrong. Regardless, I'm curious as to your input on the T-Max as you make changes to the bike. I like the concept behind it.

The tmax is no majic box, it is a limited tuning device and yes it requires a base map to tune off of, the closer to your setup the base map is the better tuning range it will have for your bike. Wrong base map and its of little or no use at all.
