i notice different cans on your ride...what else have you done other than the cans and thundermax?? Thanks in advance.
Remi
hey remi,
the cans in the pic are v&h slipons, however, the bike now has rinehart true duals on it. i will update the pic soon. other than the tmax and the rineharts the motor is stock. i have the tmax with auto tune.
Dr. phatkins, thanks for the info. I have a bone stock EG Classic and have been reading/researching alot of different ideas. I read in American Rider mag that slip ons only gave them good tq numbers with no intake change. Now with your thread and what looks like a good plan is true duels/slips/orig intake and a t-max is working for you. Cool...just another idea to think about. I really need to get it right as I am in Co Springs and our altitude dorks with the performance. Thanks again. 70/80 this weekend and clear....sounds like a royal gorge ride is in my future. Remi

remi, sorry man, i do have an upgraded a/c too, just forgot to list it. it is a k&n.
bought a SERT and was waiting to hit the 1000 mile service before the install, after reading all the feedback on the TM/AT and having no dyno tuners near me I sold the SERT on ebay for crazy money and now I'm waiting for delivery from M&M cycle for my TM/AT, then I can install my doherty power pac and stop the blueing on my pipes, can't wait !! btw nice color phat !
I'm only guessing here but I don't beleive you have the Auto-Tune module. From my limited knowledge of the T-Max it appears mapping isn't needed as the Auto-Tune will take care of that. Than again I may have read it wrong. Regardless, I'm curious as to your input on the T-Max as you make changes to the bike. I like the concept behind it.
The tmax is no majic box, it is a limited tuning device and yes it requires a base map to tune off of, the closer to your setup the base map is the better tuning range it will have for your bike. Wrong base map and its of little or no use at all.
in my mind its pretty magic. hell even the space shuttle needs coordinants punched into it. no doubt this is the future. i asked a local dyno wiz about the tmax. when he went apesh!t over what a piece of crap it was, and how a computer could never be smarter than a dyno tech, i knew i wanted it. hope he sells rims too.
Glad you are getting good results with the TM, I just started install of DTT this evening and will finish it up tomorrow morning and start tuning, weather permitting. TM and DTT, only way to go that will get better as you ride. Another reason, mod changes. I currently have Rinehart True Duals (FOR SALE !) and am replacing with RB Blackholes, so I wont need another trip to the dyno !

I do my own work and went to the dealer to pick up a few parts, mentioned installing the DTT, the guy behind the parts counter (former service tech) said the best system by far was the PCIII, when I pushed him harder why? He said well I am familiar with them, not really familiar with DTT or TMAT. I had to laugh.....technology is passing some people by...
